Program Highlights


Logistics management program emphasizes skill and knowledge development in aspects of quantitative analysis, technology, and management in order to create the moral and ethical graduates with holistic business understanding and capabilities of data analysis, integrated knowledge application, and working with others. Students will obtain insightful perspectives on organizational logistics analysis and management. The curriculum has been developed to be flexible and ready to meet professional demands for executives, analysts, scholars, and logistics management specialists.

 

The instruction focuses on the application of information technology for logistics analysis and management, case studies, and local and international work-based learning. All students will be given an opportunity to attend a seminar abroad. Courses are designed to cover some topics from professional certificates.  These include, e.g., APICS (association for supply chain management), CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport),  Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), and IATA (International Air Transport Association).

Every business organizations realizes that logistics management is considered the key strategy for competitive advantage because it is a high-cost business activity that has a direct effect on adding value to customer services. The overall logistics cost in Thailand is approximated to be at least 1.5 trillion baht per year, which accounts for 19% of GDP. Therefore, effective logistics management is the heart of business success.
